As part of its efforts to ensure a stable energy supply and achieve decarbonization, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government aims to expand demand for hydrogen energy within the metropolitan area and accelerate its early adoption in society.
The government has recently announced a call for proposals, running from Monday, May 18, Reiwa 8, through Thursday, June 25, Reiwa 8, for businesses to jointly conduct feasibility studies on large-scale hydrogen use and supply—including pipeline installation—in the airport coastal area, as well asand preliminary design in the Airport Waterfront Area. Following a review by a panel of external experts, the following application has been selected.
