The Nine Prefectures and Cities (Saitama Prefecture, Chiba Prefecture, Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City,Kawasaki City, Chiba City, Saitama City, and Sagamihara City), based on an agreement reached by the Committee on Disaster Prevention and Crisis Management, will submit a proposal to the relevant national ministries and agencies requesting that they take the necessary measures to “enhance and strengthen earthquake disaster prevention measures” and “promote civil protection.”
