Regarding the Conduct of Proficiency Training at Disaster Preparedness Boat Landings

Disaster response boat landings serve as hubs for effectively facilitating the waterborne transport of emergency supplies, medical supplies, personnel, and other resources during disasters.
To ensure the smooth operation of disaster response boat landings during disasters, we will conduct docking and undocking drills as well as information dissemination drills. These exercises are designed to enhance the familiarity of water transport personnel with these facilities and to verify communication systems among relevant agencies.
1. Training Content
We will conduct docking and undocking drills at disaster-preparedness boat landings, which serve as hubs for the waterborne transport of emergency supplies, medical supplies, and personnel during disasters.
In addition to the docking and undocking drills, we will conduct information-sharing drills involving relevant agencies, simulating a disaster scenario.
Please note that the disaster-preparedness boat landings used for this drill are either those that are not yet open to the public or those with low usage rates, and the drill routes are as shown in Attachment 1 (PDF: 361 KB).
