Supporting the Transition to 100% Renewable Energy in Apartment Buildings Through High-Voltage Bulk Power Supply


The Tokyo Metropolitan Government provides financial support for expenses related to the installation of power receiving and transforming equipment for high-voltage bulk power supply, as well as solar power generation systems, in order to promote the installation of solar power generation facilities and the adoption of 100% renewable electricity in apartment buildings within the metropolitan area.
We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting grant applications and project proposals for the Program to Promote the Adoption of Renewable Electricity in Apartment Buildings.
1. Grant Amount, Eligibility Requirements, etc.
Grants will be awarded to eligible applicants who implement the “Registered Business Plan (Plan for the Supply of 100% Renewable Energy via High-Voltage Bulk Power Supply)” published on the website of the Tokyo Metropolitan Environment Public Corporation, Tokyo Metropolitan Center for the Promotion of Global Warming Prevention Activities (Cool Net Tokyo) (link to external site).
*Please note that applications must be submitted only after the owners or management associations of multi-unit residential buildings and the high-voltage bulk power supplier have agreed to the Registered Business Plan.

2. Eligible Recipients
(1) Power receiving and transforming equipment, etc.
Business plans have been registered with Cool Net Tokyo for high-voltage bulk power suppliers.
*The registered business plans offer more competitive rates that take subsidies into account.
(2) Solar power generation facilities (including mounting structure installation and waterproofing work)
Owners and homeowners’ associations of apartment complexes implementing (1)
3. Grant Application Period
May 29, 2026 – March 31 , 2027
*The program will end once the total amount of applications reaches the maximum limit.
4. Business Plan Submission Period
May 29, 2026 – February 26, 2027
