Support for barrier-free island tourism facilities and transportation

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau will provide subsidies for the development of new facilities and the introduction of new vehicles, as well as dispatch experts, to promote barrier-free tourism facilities and transportation in island regions. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Subsidies to support the development of barrier-free tourism in island regions

Subsidy target

A. Facilities (restaurants, retail stores, and other tourist-related facilities)
B. Vehicles (accommodation shuttle vehicles, tour guide vehicles, rental cars, etc.)

A・Barrier-free facility construction, equipment purchase, and implementation design4/515 million yen, of which up to 2 million yen can be used for equipment purchases
Up to 1 million yen for detailed design
B・Costs for introducing barrier-free vehicles (*)
・The cost of installing ramps or lift devices on existing vehicles.
(*) The difference from the introduction price of a regular vehicle

However, for a lift device that can accommodate a wheelchair, the cost is 1.5 million yen.
