June is flood prevention month – Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s efforts
Period: Sunday, June 1, 2025 – Monday, June 30, 2025

The Bureau of Sewerage has designated June, before the rains start, as “Flood Prevention Strengthening Month,” during which it will conduct inspections to ensure that sewerage facilities are functioning properly and promote its measures to help customers prepare for flooding. In addition, it will hold tours of sewerage facilities that are not usually open to the public, to help customers deepen their understanding of the role of sewerage in creating a safe city.
