Shareholder proposal to Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.

Power and Communications

Issues surrounding the stable supply of energy are coming to the surface, including the impact of increasingly uncertain international situations, soaring prices of electricity and other energy sources on the economy, and a significant increase in electricity demand due to the construction of new data centers.
In order to address these various energy issues, it is extremely important to move away from dependence on fossil fuels and advance efforts to achieve both energy security and decarbonization.
To this end, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is accelerating its efforts to realize a zero-emission Tokyo, including promoting energy-saving measures and energy management at business establishments, introducing renewable energy sources, and encouraging the spread of ZEVs.
On the other hand, because electricity prices and supply and demand issues are directly related to the lives and operations of Tokyo residents and businesses, we must curb price hikes while also taking into account the need for decarbonization, and ensure a stable supply of electricity.
For this reason, we must take every opportunity to strongly urge TEPCO to curb electricity price hikes, ensure a stable power supply while also improving resilience in the event of a disaster, and promote the use of renewable energy. As such, we have submitted the shareholder proposal detailed below.
