Revision of Tokyo’s Flood Control Plan
We would like to inform you that the Tokyo Flood Prevention Plan has been revised based on the report submitted by the Tokyo Flood Prevention Council (held on April 10, 2025).
1. The Tokyo Flood Control Plan is a plan formulated pursuant to Article 7 of the Flood Control Act in order to coordinate and smoothly implement flood control operations.
2. The main revisions are as follows (see the attachment (536 KB) for an overview)
- FY2025 Update of areas requiring attention for flood prevention
- New designation and operation of the water level notification river (Irima River)
- Changes to special storm surge warning water levels at coasts where water level notices are issued
